Throughout Bangladesh prevailing myths and stigma about disability act as barriers to an inclusive society. Our advocacy and awareness raising campaigns work to educate regional and rural communities about prevention of childhood disability, treatment options, rehabilitation, education and the rights of people with disability.
We conduct workshops and seminars, hold media events and produce resources and materials including written publications, posters and leaflets, television and radio programs; all of which inform children, families, teachers and communities about prevention of childhood disability, timely treatment, rehabilitation, education and human rights.
Our advocacy programs target the families of children with disability to raise awareness about their legal entitlements to stipends, social security and low interest business loans from the Government’s Social Security Scheme.
