CSF Global youth volunteers recently organized a successful awareness and petition campaign at Dhaka University and its surrounding areas, calling for greater accessibility and inclusion of persons with disabilities in educational institutions across Bangladesh.
The campaign aimed to raise understanding of Cerebral Palsy (CP) — a neurological condition affecting movement and posture — while also amplifying the voices of young advocates working toward an inclusive education system for all learners.
A team of seven passionate volunteers, comprising college and university students, spent the day engaging with the public, distributing informational brochures, and collecting petition signatures in support of disability-inclusive educational environments. Through conversations and face-to-face interaction, the volunteers shared information about CP, challenged common misconceptions, and emphasized the importance of creating accessible facilities in schools and universities.
The response from students and community members was overwhelmingly positive. More than 100 individuals signed the petition in support of CSF Global’s call for accessibility improvements, expressing genuine enthusiasm and solidarity with the cause.

Despite the challenges of a long day outdoors, volunteers described the experience as inspiring, enjoyable, and deeply rewarding.
“Talking to so many students and seeing how eager they were to learn and take action really motivated us,” said one of the youth volunteers. “It showed that awareness can start small — with conversations — and grow into real change.”
This initiative reflects CSF Global’s ongoing commitment to fostering awareness, advocacy, and community engagement around disability rights and inclusion. By empowering youth volunteers to take the lead, CSF continues to strengthen the next generation of advocates for equality and accessibility in Bangladesh.
