CSF Global Celebrated Int. Day of Person with Disabilities

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2025 was celebrated with great enthusiasm and inclusivity at the Shahjadpur Government Model Pilot School premises, Shahjadpur, Sirajganj. With the global theme “Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress,” the event highlighted community engagement, empowerment, accessibility, and equality for children with disabilities and their families. The day-long program was organized by CSF Global, in collaboration with the University of South Asia as the academic partner and Professor Matin Eye Care System as a supporting partner. The event brought together government officials, educators, community leaders, parents, caregivers, and children with disabilities to promote awareness, participation, and social inclusion.

The vibrant fair began at 11:00 AM, showcasing handcrafted items made by children with disabilities, therapy demonstrations, assistive devices, and awareness stalls. The activities reflected the children’s creativity, resilience, and potential. A friendly cricket match for children with disabilities created a cheerful and empowering environment for inclusive sports participation.

The arrival of the Chief Guest, Professor Dr. M A Muhit, President of CSF Global, marked one of the key moments of the event. He visited the stalls, interacted with the children and their caregivers and that gesture symbolizing unity, dignity, and the commitment to building a more inclusive nation. Government officials including the Upazila Health & Family Planning Officer, Upazila Secondary Education Officer, Social Services Officer, and Youth Development Officer also joined the program and delivered inspiring speeches emphasizing accessibility, health services, social welfare, education, and skill development.

In remarks of chief guest, Professor Dr. M A Muhit highlighted that “the abilities of children with disabilities are the true strength of our society,” emphasizing the importance of empowerment, equal rights, and supportive systems to help them flourish as contributing citizens.

A colorful cultural program in the evening showcased performances in music, dance, poetry, and drama, celebrating inclusiveness and community spirit. The day concluded with a spectacular fireworks display, symbolizing hope, resilience, and the vision of an inclusive society.

Overall, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2025 celebration in Shahjadpur served not only as a commemorative event but also as a reaffirmation of collective commitment to disability rights, community-based rehabilitation, equitable opportunities, and sustainable development.
