Childhood Disability (CD) Project
Childhood disability project in Bangladesh found a significant number of children with multiple disability and these children are mostly suffering from one condition known as cerebral palsy. Rehabilitation center and related professional help is very limited for these children in rural areas. To address this issue CSF has undertaken to provide therapeutic services like physio & occupational therapy, speech and language therapy as a part of rehabilitation procedure of these children.
Though there is no cure for Cerebral Palsy, physiotherapy from an early age can help to improve the quality of life of babies with cerebral palsy. CSF provides physiotherapy as well as hands-on training to the parents of children with CP to help them learn the correct ways to maximize their abilities to prevent deformities and contractures in their children. A qualified physio, occupational and speech and language therapist first examined the child at the KIM camp and then immediately provide initial treatment.
